Has anybody got any ideas on how I can get this to work by the WPS method please. Yesterday I took the SC201 off the NVR box and plugged into a LAN port on the router and in the router settings it showed up as Sky wireless connector on an ethernet port so I can say that it is working but it will not work wireless/WPS method. He has a Sky wireless connector on the downstairs Sky box which is usb plug in model which works using WPS button and one that will not connect is LAN connection type. I have tried for 4 days to get it to connect using WPS but on the SC201 I have power light on and wireless light is a solid amber when it was solid white. Nothing has been altered to the CCTV setup apart from the new router. The issue I have is that he has CCTV set up and was using a Sky SC201 wireless connector to connect from the NVR to the downstairs router. The SSE router is Technicolor DWA 0120 model and a link to specs is My dad has got SSE fibre set up last week after leaving Sky fibre. #Android turbo 2 how to connect to wps password#I did think it could be the broadcast range of g/n and the other one but I did set it to all 3 and it still not connect.Ĭould it be the password protection encryption like WPA and others that I need to set the SC201 connect to the router? The router is set to dual band and I have connected my mobile to it using 5Ghz and a laptop the same. The solution is to rename the SSIDs but since I didn't want to risk upsetting other devices that were connecting OK, I reverted to a cable connection although appreciate that's not possible in this case.Įdit - Goggled the Sky SC201 and see it's 2.4GHz only. If the CCTV is only 2.4 Ghz, even if the router has the same SSID for 2.4 and 5, it will only see the 2.4Ghz SSID anyway, because it's not capable of detecting the 5Ghz signal.Wasn't the case for me - the 2.4 and 5 SSIDs were the same and the router used the latter by default. make sure that the 2.4 and 5GHz bands have separate SSIDs and are not linked.
